By: Jason Uvios

Precaution is always better than cure. If you are having an acne-rich skin then you should start taking proper care for it. Clear skin actually enhances your self-confidence and imparts you with energy to do better in life. A clear skin free from acne scars or other blemishes truly promise to make you a beautiful person. So you should maintain a regular routine to take extra care for your skin and enjoy a free, clean and a glowing skin.

The first step to clean your skin is to clean it gently. People who are suffering from acne outbreaks will definitely try to stop oil production by scrubbing their skin with strong detergent soaps. This can prove to be truly harmful so most of the doctors recommend their patients to gently wash their skin with a mild cleanser, regularly in the morning and in the evening. Patients should ask the doctors or health professionals for advice to use the best type of cleanser that can cure acne effectively.

The skin should be washed thoroughly after every exercise lessons. Patients should wash their face from under the jaw to the hairline and make sure that they are not using any of the rough scrubs or pads. It is important that they should also thoroughly rinse their skin after washing it. If you are having oily skin, then you can use the astringents only on those oily spots to prevent acne.

Wash your hair regularly because unwashed hair can contain a lot of grease and dirt. Rubbing of the greasy hair on the skin or dabbing your greasy fingers on your skin can make the acne lesions worst. Try not to squeeze or pick out the acne spots as it may introduce more infection and make the spots even worse. Although medication will be able to heal acne, but you might develop a chance of permanently having the scars on your face, neck and body.

If you cannot resist fidgeting or squeezing with the acne lesions then here is a solution. Make sure that you wash your hands and face first and then use a sterilized needle [with the tip burned in flame and dipped in alcohol] to prick out the lesion germs from inside the acne swells. You can also take the help of blackhead extractors that will help to remove the acne lesions more hygienically than unnecessarily squeezing them with your fingers.

You should have a perfect selection of your cosmetics that will help in the reduction of acne. Whatever cosmetics you are using including blusher, eye shadow, foundations, and moisturizers, all of them should be oil free. Acne patients who are treating acne with topical tretinoin and benzoyl peroxide should never use foundations on their faces. Even lip products that contain moisturizers may prove to be harmful at this condition as they may lead to small, open and closed comedomes.

Use some products that will help to pacify the production of acne on your face and body.
