Acne- Photodynamic Therapy For Treatment

Till now acne was treated with topical and oral medications. Now Photodynamic Therapy is being studied to treat acne. Some dermatologists are already using this to treat acne in their clinic. Photodynamic Therapy involves use of light source or heat source. Laser, or heat source. The light targets and destroys the acne causing bacteria and also reduces inflammation. Commonly the treatment lasts for fifteen minutes and is given twice a week for four weeks. How does Photodynamic Therapy compare with conventional treatments? Let us find out-
