Do you find that money evaporates very quickly?

At the end of the month is there money left in the bank account or does the overdraft accounts have to be used?

Is there enough money left for essential or are we left financially short?

Do you know someone who is this financial position?

Does this sound familiar? If so then read on and find out how to reduce your spending and how to achieve this essential goal.

It is important to put housing, food, domestic bills, any tax bills, transportation, clothing always first on the list. These make up what we call the four walls.

The first essential way to reduce your spending is to set yourself a budget system and work all your finances from it consistently. When an effective budget is in focus then spending will be cut because you can see exactly what is coming in and going out. This principle is essential for success financially.

The second system to use is to make an envelope system. Every expense that has to be paid must be put into an envelope, this way your money has a purpose and the money will not be spent any where else. The envelope system is essential in order to get the big picture of your finances for the month.

When paying bills always use cash. This will stop the overdraft being used at the end of the month and having to pay fines to the bank.

Prioritize your spending by looking at the bills you pay on a regular weekly or monthly basis. If you have bills which are not a priority then stop using the service which is attached to the bills and if necessary cut back on less important ones. For example: if a person has monthly outgoings that are classified as luxuries rather than necessities they could cut back on these until the situation improves.

This next money saving tip is essential.

Stop using credit cards. Using credit cards will go against reducing your spending because of the balance and also the interest which may have to be paid on a monthly basis. Only spend on what has been budgeted for, for the month.

Here is a great way to reduce your spending. Hire a wealth or finance coach. With their experience they will assist you to reduce your spending and provide support.

Put these principles into practice and see how spending can be controlled.
