Logo Design

By: Joh Dean

A logo is a graphical presentation of a business reflecting a clear image of the company’s products and services to its target market.

Designing a logo is a very complex task, as the logo is the precursor of the business and has to carry the whole burden of making the company widely known on its shoulders. Catching the attention of your targeted people out of a multitude, and exuding the company’s positive image at the same time is surely not an easy task. A lot of care and tactfulness is required in the course of designing a logo.

How Is An Accounting Logo Different From Other Logos?

An accounting logo is different quite different from other logos. It carries some standard traits that actually make them easily distinguishable. These logos are burdened with the task of mirroring the typical financial side of the business, while being memorable at the same time.

Some salient features of an accounting logo are as follows:

Eye Catching:
Financial logos, just like all the other logos have to be eye-catching. But financial logos are not as free in this regard as any other type of logo. To make a financial logo eye catching is a demanding task as the choices are limited. As financial logos have to be with a bit of formal touch, the options for making it attractive are narrowed. Extreme care has to be taken while choosing images, symbols, fonts and colors for accounting logos.

Sober Colors:
Selection of colors for an accounting logo is a very sensitive part of its creation. Colors that are typical of finance should be chosen to be used in accounting logos. Shades of blue and green are the most common in accounting logos. Some shades of brown are also commonly found in accounting logos. The use of too many or improper colors spoils the logo and in turn casts a negative impact on your business.

Financial Symbols:
Symbols used in a financial logo have to be associated with finance or money. The use of suitable accounting symbols such as ‘@’, ‘$’ in the accounting logo design will be an added advantage as it will exude the financial aspect of the business in a clearer way. Pictures denoting yachts and pit bulls can be used in the financial logo design as they are considered as well-known symbols of accounting and finance.

Formal Based Fonts:
The choice of fonts in the accounting logos is equally important. To give a formal and professional look to the accounting logo, formal fonts like Times New Roman and Arial should be used. All the fonts used in the financial logo design have to be absolutely legible.

Graphics & Illustration:
Close attention has to be paid while creating an accounting logo design. Choose simple and down to earth graphics for the accounting logo to give it a formal touch. An accounting logo should remain free from extraordinary graphics. Try your level best to make it as simple as possible.
