MLM Success Tip : Quality Traffic vs. Non Quality Traffic

By: DevonBrown

I recently got an E-mail from one of my list members who wanted my opinion on some traffic driving strategies.

This gentleman already had a lot of things going well for him. Primarily, he had a web-page specifically designed to capture the information of business opportunity seekers.

Now that he had this "lead capture" page, (also known as a "squeeze page") up and running, he needed to start getting traffic to it.

He wanted my opinion on 2 things:

1. A company promised him 10,000 hits for $97

2. Another company was promising guaranteed signups

No doubt you've come across similar offers and you've thought to yourself…"YES WITH THIS MUCH TRAFFIC I CANT LOSE!!!"

After all, out of 10,000 people going to your site; at least 1/10th of 1% of them (10 people) should join your company...right? Well, think again. Before I go any further let me just be as blunt as possible and

tell you that 99.9% of these claims are complete B.S. - Please stay away from stuff like this.

Here's why...

For all intents and purposes there are 2 types of traffic…Quality Traffic and Non-Quality Traffic
Quality traffic is what we're all assuming that we're getting but in reality, offers like the ones mentioned above fall into the "non-quality" traffic category. Quality traffic assumes that an actual human being has made a conscious decision to check out your site. Types of quality traffic methods include.

1. Pay Per Click Marketing (Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc…)

2. Articles and Press Releases (Places like: EzineArticles.com or PR Web.com)

3. Newspaper ads (USA Today)

4. Online E-zines (Ezines-r-us)

5. Traffic from social networking sites like (Myspace, Squidoo, You Tube, Etc…)

6. Banner ads

These are just a few examples & I'll get into how to use these tools later, but for now just understand that these are "quality" traffic driving methods. The people who are promising you guaranteed signups or 10,000 visitors for a couple of bucks are in actuality using questionable tactics to get you "hits", Not
REAL VISITORS.

The challenge is that some of these scam artists actually use the verbiage “Real Visitors”. Because these traffic driving liars are really good at writing compelling ad-copy it’s really hard to tell who’s real and who’s not. Just keep in mind that the general rule of thumb is that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Example: One company might be doing pop-ups or pop-unders, but even if you have a pop-up blocker and the site is never really shown, it still counts as a hit <-- YUK! (it even counts as a Unique Visitor!)
Or...

If someone is promising you "guaranteed signups" then ask them if they are going to take the traffic to YOUR site and have the person sign-up for YOUR network marketing company. Chances are that there is no way this will EVER happen.

The bottom line is that you should really stay away from those "pie in the sky" traffic deals that sound too good to be true. I had to take a second and share this with you because I know how important results are to you.
