Personal Tanning Problems Can Bring You New Customers

Some individuals only decide that a tanning salon is the best place for them to go in order to get a deep, dark color that they love. They often try out other methods and that just doesn't work well for them. In fact, their hard efforts may result in them have tanning experiences that they will never forget. They won't be funny initially but hopefully they will be able to laugh about them later on.

Make sure your staff understands the importance of helping people in such a predicament. When they turn to your tanning salon for help you need to turn that into an opportunity to get them as a customer. That doesn't mean you blow off what they are dealing with. Yet you can help the solve it if you can and then offer great options to make sure it will never be an experience they face again.

One of the most common problems is that people who are fair skinned turn red instead of brown. While you can't change that color for them magically you can provide them with adequate information. You can explain that they need to use a tanning bed or booth for only a few minutes each day. They also need to use moisturizers and tanning enhancer products that you can sale to them.

In the mean time you can offer them some solutions such as using aloe vera to soothe the pain. You can also offer them a free tanning session in about a week so they can come in and try the place out for themselves. Samples of tanning enhancers can be given to them at that visit to encourage them to buy some.

Many people are in a hurry to get a tan for a special occasion. Instead of planning ahead and getting started on their base tan at a salon they purchase an over the counter product. You can't go to prom or on vacation with orange looking skin or a streaked tan on your legs. It can be very upsetting as well as frustrating.

If you offer instant tanning booths that spray on the tan or airbrush tanning this is a good fix you can offer to them. You should recommend that they go home and exfoliate first to help. Washing with a mixture of soap, water, and lemon juice can also help to remove some of that orange tint.

They can get rid of that orange color long before too many other people find out about it. You may have to get creative with scheduling in order for them to be able to get an appointment though. Such tanning emergencies can often fit in somewhere though if you are willing to really work with the individual.

Tanning mishaps like these can turn people to your tanning salon. Are you going to help them or simply turn them away? Chances are that if you take the time to help them they will be come a faithful customer. They will see that your tanning opportunities are a much better fit for their needs. They will also really appreciate your efforts to come to their rescue in such a time of need.
